
Sarah lives on Center Avenue with her two teenagers. Sarah first joined the Board as communications chair in 2017 and was elected President in 2022. She loves to plan events and programs that foster community connections, like Aspinwall’s Big Night Out. She also loves supporting local businesses. Sarah is the founder and planning chair for FC Pride in the Park and is a senior marketing manager for a global consulting firm, FTI Consulting.

Andy moved to Aspinwall in 2020 and quickly looked for ways to become an involved citizen. He’s passionate about neighborhood beautification projects and leads the Green Streets WALLstars program and annual street clean-ups. Andy has also championed public art installations in Aspinwall. Andy is a mechanical engineer.

Jean joined the board in 2018. She and her family live in upper Aspinwall. Jean is a labor and delivery nurse who brings a compassionate approach to serving her community. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jean volunteered countless hours to get at-risk community members vaccinated.

Jonnett joined the board in 2021, bringing with her extensive experience working with nonprofit organizations. She’s passionate about sustainability and creating opportunities for neighbors to help neighbors, which prompted her to lead our annual Snow Angels program. Jonnett works in higher education and lives with her family on 1st Street.

Karin joined the board in 2021 and quickly stepped in to take over our Soup Delivery program, adding personal touches to the deliveries to help foster deeper connections with our senior residents and increase community involvement. Karin is the assistant dean for student engagement and professional development in the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh. She and her family live on Center Avenue.

Sona has lived on 4th Street with her husband and son for the past 10 years. She and her family frequently volunteer for Aspinwall Neighbors’ programs and love the sense of community that comes with living in Aspinwall. Hoping to become more involved with Aspinwall Neighbors, Sona applied to become a board member and joined the board in 2022. Since becoming a board member, she has taken the lead on the Snow Angels program and is part of the effort to produce a community cookbook. Sona has worked for the University of Pittsburgh for the past 16 years as a Research Technician and currently works in a lung cancer research lab at Hillman Cancer Center.

A frequent volunteer for Aspinwall Neighbors programs, Rachel joined the board in 2022 to increase her involvement and impact. Rachel and her family live on 4th Street. She is a pastry chef, and later this year will be launching the Aspinwall Neighbors community cookbook.
